Wiper Switch: Testing and Inspection
Rear Wiper And Washer Switch Inspection
REAR WIPER AND WASHER SWITCH INSPECTION
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the following parts:
a. Front scuff plate (Driver's side) See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Scuff Plate/Service and Repair/Front Scuff Plate
Removal/Installation
b. Front side trim (Driver's side) See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Trim Panel/Service and Repair/Front Side Trim
Removal/Installation
c. Hood release lever See: Body and Frame/Doors, Hood and Trunk/Hood/Hood Latch Release/Service and Repair
d. Lower panel See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Dashboard / Instrument Panel/Service and Repair/Removal and
Replacement/Lower Panel Removal/Installation
e. Column cover See: Steering and Suspension/Steering/Steering Column/Steering Column Cover/Service and Repair
f.
Wiper and washer switch See: Windshield Washer Switch/Service and Repair
3. Verify that the continuity between the rear wiper and washer switch terminals is as indicated in the table.

If not as indicated in the table, replace the wiper and washer switch.
