a. Before inserting boot onto shaft, wrap shaft splines with tape.
b. Align match marks and install tripod joint with a rod and hammer.
c. Install snap ring with snap ring pliers.
d. Apply yellow grease, supplied in kits, to joint.

Install boot band as follows:
a. Fold band back by pulling on end of band with pliers.
b. Lock end of band by bending locking clip. Always use new band. Band should be folded in direction opposite to forward revolving
direction of driveshaft.
4.
After assembling driveshaft, check the following:
a. Ensure joint parts move smoothly in all directions.
b. Check boots for grease leaks or damage.
