Engine Oil Control Valve: Service and Repair

OIL CONTROL VALVE (OCV) REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [L5]

1. Remove the plug hole plate.  See: Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Plug Hole Plate Removal/Installation

2. Remove the ignition coils.  See: Powertrain Management/Ignition System/Ignition Coil/Service and Repair

3. Remove the ventilation hose.  See: Intake Manifold/Service and Repair

4. Disconnect the camshaft position (CMP) sensor connector.

5. Disconnect the OCV connector.

6. Remove the cylinder head cover.  See: Intake Manifold/Service and Repair

7. Remove the OCV installation bolt.

8. Remove the OCV.

9. Install in the reverse order of removal. 

OCV installation bolt tightening torque

8-11 Nm {82-117 kgf-cm, 71-101 in-lbf}
