Fuel Injector: Service and Repair

1.

Disconnect battery ground cable.

2.

Disconnect fuel hoses from fuel filter and the pressure regulator. Allow engine to cool before disconnecting fuel hose. Cover hose with rag to
prevent fuel spillage.

3.

Disconnect electrical connector at each injector.

4.

Remove pressure regulator or, on turbocharged models, the reed valve housing.

5.

Remove distribution pipe.

6.

Remove grommets, injectors and insulators.

7.

Reverse procedure to install, using new O-rings. Apply thin coat of gasoline to O-rings.
