929 V6-3.0L SOHC (1989)
Parking Brake System: Adjustments
1.
Check lever stroke when lever is pulled with a force of 44 lbs. If stroke is not 6-8 notches, proceed to step 2.
2.
Raise and support vehicle.
3.
Remove rear wheel assembly.
4.
Remove disc brake service hole cap.
5.
Using suitable screwdriver, turn adjuster in direction of arrow, marked on disc plate, until disc plate locks.
6.
On all models except 1992 models, turn adjuster 3-5 notches in opposite direction.
7.
On 1992 models, turn adjuster 6-8 notches in opposite direction.
8.
On all models, ensure parking brake warning light illuminates when brake lever is pulled one notch and ensure brakes are not dragging.
8.
Install disc brake service hole cap and rear wheel assembly, then lower vehicle.
