Alarm System Transponder: Service and Repair

PASSIVE ANTI-THEFT TRANSCEIVER MODULE REMOVAL / INSTALLATION

CAUTION:  Electronic modules are sensitive to electrical charges. If exposed to these charges, damage may result.

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the ignition switch lock cylinder. See IGNITION LOCK CYLINDER REMOVAL/ INSTALLATION.

3. If equipped, remove the tilt wheel handle.

4. Remove the upper and lower steering column shrouds.

1. Remove the screws.
2. Remove the upper and lower steering column shroud.

5. Remove the lower instrument panel steering column cover.

1. Remove the screws.
2. Remove the lower instrument panel steering column cover.
