Engine Oil Dip Stick - Dip Stick Tube: Service and Repair

OIL LEVEL INDICATOR AND TUBE REMOVAL / INSTALLATION 

1. Remove the oil level indicator and the upper retaining bolt.
2. Raise the vehicle on a hoist. 

3. Remove the oil level indicator tube.

Remove the bolt.

Remove the oil level indicator tube.

4. Remove the O-ring from the indicator ring.

Note:

Apply clean engine oil to the O-ring before installation of the indicator tube.

5. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
