Differential Case: Service and Repair
FRONT DIFFERENTIAL CASE DISASSEMBLY / ASSEMBLY
Disassembly Note
1. Remove differential case from the front drive axle housing.
2. Remove the ring gear.
1) Remove the eight bolts.
2) Use a drift that will bottom out in the ring gear bolt holes to separate the ring gear from the differential case.
3. Drive out the differential pinion shaft roll pin from the differential case.
4. Remove the differential pinion shaft.
Note: Differential side gears may fall out after removing the differential pinion gears.
