Crankshaft Position Sensor: Service and Repair

1. Disconnect negative battery cable.
2. Drain the cooling system.
3. Remove the drive belt.
4. Remove the bolts and position the generator out of the way.
5. Remove water pump inlet tube.
6. Remove O-ring from the water pump inlet tube.

7. Disconnect the crankshaft position sensor (CKP sensor).
8. Remove the screw and CKP sensor.

NOTE:  The engine front cover design precisely locates the CKP sensor so that an adjustment is not required.

9. Install in reverse order of removal.

Tightening torque:  8 - 12 Nm { 82 - 122 kg.cm, 71 - 106 in.lb }
