Cut each wire from extra connectors as close to the connector as possible.

Perform the following actions:
a.
Using double wall heat shrink tubing, position the tubing over each individual wire.
b.
Use a shielded, flame-less heat gun to heat the repair area until the tubing shrinks and adhesive flows out of both ends of the tubing.
