Flexible Fuel Sensor: Service and Repair

The fuel system remains under high pressure even when the engine Is not running. Before repairing or disconnecting any fuel of the fuel
system components, the fuel system pressure must be relieved to prevent accidental spraying of fuel, causing possible personal injury or a
fire hazard.
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Relieve the fuel system pressure.
3. Raise and support the vehicle.
4. Disconnect the flex fuel sensor electrical connector and secondary fuel fitting retaining clips.
5. Disconnect the push-connect fittings.
6. Remove the nuts and flex fuel sensor.
7. Install in reverse order of removal.
