Door Lock Cylinder: Service and Repair
NOTE: When a lock cylinder is replaced, both the door and ignition lock cylinders should be replaced in a set. This will eliminate carrying an extra key
which will fit only one lock. If a key is to be replaced, the new key code number is stamped on a metal tag attached to the key.
1. Raise the front window.
2. Remove the front door trim panel and watersheild.
3. Disconnect the key cylinder rod from the door lock cylinder lever.
4. Remove the door lock cylinder retainer (1).
5. Remove the door lock cylinder (2).
6. Install in reverse order of removal.
