Intake Manifold: Service and Repair
Lower Intake Manifold

LOWER INTAKE MANIFOLD REMOVAL / INSTALLATION 

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Drain the engine cooling system.
3. Remove both the valve covers.

4. Disconnect the engine control sensor wiring from the radio ignition interference capacitor, the ignition coil and the EGR solenoid.

5. Remove the ignition coil and plug wires as an assembly.

6. Disconnect the engine control sensor wiring from the crankshaft position sensor, the ECT sensor, the water temperature indicator sender unit, the

fuel injectors and the camshaft synchronizer.

7. Relieve the fuel pressure and disconnect the fuel line.
8. Remove the fuel rail and the fuel injector as an assembly.
