BUZZING NOISE OR VIBRATION FROM THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL

All 1998 B-3000 trucks.
DESCRIPTION
A buzzing or vibration from the accelerator pedal may be felt on some vehicles. There may also be a slight moan or droan sound inside the cab. This may
be caused by engine vibrations transmitted through contact between the accelerator cable and the EGR valve. A modified accelerator cable is available to
reduce this concern.
Customers complaining of this concern should have their vehicle repaired according to the following procedure.
REPAIR PROCEDURE
1.
Verify customer complaint.
2.
Inspect the accelerator cable for signs of contact with EGR valve.
3.
If contact exists, replace the accelerator cable with the modified part. Refer to the Workshop Manual section 01-13B.
4.
Verify repair.
