If servo is type found in Fig. 1 - NO SERVICE ACTION REQUIRED. Return vehicle to customer and submit proper warranty claim.

If servo is type found in Fig. 2 - Proceed to step 3.

Locate speed control cable.

4.

Locate imprinted part number on speed control cable.

5.

Locate build date code at the end of the part number.

Note

If build date is illegible, proceed to "Speed Control Cable Replacement".

Cross-reference build date code with the key below

If the build date code is December 1, 1998 (335 A8) or later, NO SERVICE ACTION IS REQUIRED. Return vehicle to customer and submit
proper warranty claim.

Make sure you are using the correct year code, as the day code will start over on January 1, 1999 (001 A9).

If the build date code is November 30, 1998 (334 A8) or earlier, the speed control cable must be replaced. Proceed to "Speed Control Cable
Replacement".
