All 1998-99 2WD and 4WD B-Series with manual transmissions (M/T).
DESCRIPTION
The transmission crossmember and/or its fasteners (bolts and J-clips) may be damaged while removing them for transmission service. Previously, service
parts were not available. A Transmission Crossmember kit containing a replacement crossmember and all its fasteners is now available.
When the crossmember and/or its fasteners are damaged during removal, install the applicable Transmission Crossmember Kit using the following
procedure.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

When removing the existing transmission crossmember, first loosen mounting bolts with the appropriate wrench and/or socket set before using an
impact gun. Loosening bolts with an impact gun will more likely result in stripped or broken bolts and added labor time.
1.
Drill out any stripped/damaged mounting bolts and remove crossmember.
2.
Replace all old J-clips with new ones from the applicable kit
