Front Door Window Motor: Service and Repair

Removal Note

1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Remove the door trim panel and watershield
3. Support the window glass.

4. If equipped, disconnect the power window motor electrical connector.

5. Loosen the center glass channel.

Remove the top and bottom glass channel nuts.

NOTE:

To remove the rivets, use a drift punch to remove the steel centers and a 6.35 mm (1/4 in) diameter drill bit to remove the rivets.

The power window regulator has four rivets; the manual has three.

6. Remove the window regulator rivets.

1. Remove the steel centers.
2. Remove the rivets.

7. Remove the window regulator.
