Windshield Washer Pump: Service and Repair

NOTE:

- To prevent spilling windshield washer fluid, drain the reservoir before removal.

1. Disconnect the windshield washer hose from the windshield washer pump.
2. Disconnect the coolant overflow hose from the reservoir and plug the outlet port.
3. Disconnect the washer pump electrical connector.
4. Position the air filter housing aside.

5. Remove the two screws and two nuts and remove the windshield washer reservoir.

CAUTION:
- When removing the washer pump from the reservoir be sure not to damage the rubber grommet.

6. Remove the washer pump from the washer reservoir.

NOTE:
- The windshield washer reservoir and the washer pump are to be replaced independently.

7. Install in the reverse order of removal.

Tighten torque: 5 - 6 N.m (51 - 61 kgf.cm , 44 - 53 in.lbf)
