Intake Manifold: Service and Repair
Lower Intake Manifold

LOWER INTAKE MANIFOLD REMOVAL / INSTALLATION 

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the upper intake manifold.

3. Disconnect the fuel line.

4. Disconnect the fuel injectors, the ECT sensor, the water temperature indicator sender unit and the oil pressure sensor from the engine control

sensor wiring.

5. Remove both the valve covers and the valve cover gaskets.
6. Remove the thermostat.

7. Remove the bolts, and the lower intake manifold. 

8. Remove the lower intake manifold gaskets.
9. Install in the reverse order of removal.

NOTE:

Clean the sealing surfaces.
