Ignition Lock: Service and Repair
1.
Disconnect battery ground cable.
2.
Remove steering column upper and lower cover attaching screws, then the covers.
3.
Disconnect ignition switch electrical connector.
4.
Using a suitable hammer and chisel, tap a groove into the steering lock body to column shaft retaining bolts.
5.
Using a suitable screwdriver, loosen the bolts, then remove steering lock assembly.
6.
Reverse procedure to install.
