2007 CX-7 vehicles with VINS lower than JM3ER****7*138083 (produced before September 11, 2006)
DESCRIPTION
On some vehicles, dirt or debris may accumulate on the side sill and get the customer's clothing dirty when they enter or exit the front or rear doors of the
vehicle.
Due to the shape of the rubber seal attached to the side step, dust may easily enter the side sill area and accumulate there. The shape of the rubber seal
has been changed during mass-production.
Customers having this concern should have their vehicle repaired using the following repair procedure.
REPAIR PROCEDURE
1.
Verify customer concern.
2.
Replace both left and right side steps with modified parts.
NOTE:
Side step covers front and rear door side sill areas.
3.
Verify repair.
