WARRANTY INFORMATION have been revised.
APPLICABLE MODEL(S)/VINS
2007 CX-7 vehicles with VINs lower than JM3ER****70135294 (produced before Sept. 1, 2006)
DESCRIPTION
Some customers may report that with the A/C on during an extended drive, the vent air volume decreases and/ or the vents start to blow warm air. This
could be a result of evaporator freezing, and it is most likely to occur while driving for an extended time at steady highway speeds with the A/C on MAX
in high humidity conditions.
When the freeze-up occurs, the following symptom may be present:

The low pressure side pipe will have frost on it, giving the appearance it is frozen.
Allowing the evaporator to unfreeze will temporarily address the concern. The temperature setting for the frost sensor on the A/C evaporator is too low.
This creates frost on the evaporator and causes airflow resistance.
The temperature setting for the frost sensor has been increased by 1 degree C at mass-production.
Customers having this concern should have their vehicle repaired using the following repair procedure.

NOTE:
DO NOT INSTALL THE SHORT HARNESS ON VEHICLES PRODUCED ON OR AFTER SEPTEMBER 1, 2006 (VIN:
JM3ER****70135294), OTHERWISE, THE A/C PERFORMANCE WILL BE DETERIORATED.

Verify symptom is same as described above.

If there is no problem found with AC system, install short harness (with resister) to evaporator temperature sensor on HVAC.

Remove glove box.
