2007-2010 CX-7 2.3L turbo
DESCRIPTION
The procedure for replacing a throttle body and/or throttle body gasket has been revised as described below. The on-line Workshop Manual (MS3) will
be revised accordingly. The labor hours for throttle body replacement will be changed from 1.1 hrs. to 0.8 hrs.
REPAIR PROCEDURE
WARNING:
For your safety, do not begin this repair until the engine has fully cooled.
*1. Record customer's preset radio stations.
2. Disconnect negative battery cable.*
3. Remove the charge air cooler and air hose.
4. To depressurize the cooling system, loosen the cooling system cap once, then retighten it.
5. Using a cloth to prevent a coolant spill, remove the water hoses and plug them with commercial plugs (A).
CAUTION:
Do not use bolts to plug the water hoses because bolts can damage the hoses.
6. Disconnect the throttle body connector.
7. Remove the throttle body.
8. With a new gasket, install the throttle body.
