2006 MAZDA6, MAZDASPEED6, 2007 CX-7 - POWER WINDOW AUTO OPEN / CLOSE AND ANTI-PINCH FEATURES INOPERATIVE

DESCRIPTION

The 2006 Mazda6/Mazdaspeed6 and 2007 CX-7 vehicles are equipped with "Auto Open/Close" and "Anti-Pinch" window features.

This system requires a special "Power Window Initialization Procedure" for these features to operate~ The power window initialization procedure is
performed during vehicle production, however, in the following cases the initialization procedure must be performed in order to restore "auto
open/close" and "anti-pinch" operation.

Battery has been disconnected.

^

Power window fuse has been removed/replaced.

^

Power window initialization procedure was not performed at vehicle production.

NOTE:

TO AVOID UNNECESSARY REPLACEMENT OF THE POWER WINDOW MAIN SWITCH, ALWAYS PERFORM THE "POWER WINDOW
INITIALIZATION PROCEDURE" BEFORE REPLACING ANY POWER WINDOW RELATED PARTS.

POWER WINDOW INITIALIZATION PROCEDURE 

1.

Turn ignition to ON position.

2.

From driver's seat ensure window lockout switch is NOT depressed.

3.

Press window switch down to fully open door window.
