Blind Spot Module: Testing and Inspection
BLIND SPOT MONITORING (BSM) CONTROL MODULE INSPECTION
CAUTION:
-
The terminal voltage inspection on the vehicle wiring harness side cannot be performed because the BSM control module connector has been
waterproof processed to make it. Therefore, to determine if the BSM control module is malfunctioning, perform an inspection on the related
wiring harness and parts. If there is no problem with any of them, it can then be determined that the BSM control module is malfunctioning.
1. Remove the rear combination light. See: Lighting and Horns/Tail Lamp/Service and Repair
2. Remove the rear bumper. See: Body and Frame/Bumper/Rear Bumper/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement
3. Attach the tester lead to the BSM control module wiring harness-side connector and inspect the parts, voltage or continuity according to the
standard (reference) on the table.
