Positive Crankcase Ventilation Valve: Testing and Inspection
POSITIVE CRANKCASE VENTILATION (PCV) VALVE INSPECTION [L3 WITH TC]
Airflow Inspection
1. Remove the battery cover. See: Starting and Charging/Battery/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement
2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
3. Remove the intake manifold. See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Intake Manifold/Service and Repair
4. Remove the PCV valve and the oil separator as a single unit. See: Service and Repair
5. Verify that there is no airflow when pressure is applied to port A.

If there is airflow, replace the PCV valve. See: Service and Repair
6. Verify that there is airflow when vacuum is applied to port A.

If there is no airflow, replace the PCV valve. See: Service and Repair
