See Below
DESCRIPTION
Vehicles with a "KJ" engine and a VIN of JM1TA22**S1106982 and lower - When the auto tensioner requires removal, the auto tensioner assembly
must be broken by removing the lock bolt. See below for reasons for breaking the auto tensioner.
1.
Because the head of the auto tensioner lock bolt will interfere with the vehicle body the auto tensioner must be broken for removal.
2.
Attempting to remove the lock bolt will result in damage to the auto tensioner.
After removal, a modified auto tensioner must be installed. Never reuse the original auto tensioner.
Vehicles with a "KJ" engine and a VIN of JM1TA22**S1106983 and higher - When the auto tensioner requires removal, the auto tensioner can be
removed as an assembly from the engine compartment. A change in the length of the lock bolt head eliminates interference with the body.
