Downshift Switch: Service and Repair
Replacement
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the floor carpet.
3. Disconnect the kickdown switch connector.
4. Remove the kickdown switch.
5. Install a new kickdown switch as shown in the figure.
Tightening Torque: 2.5-4.9 Nm (22-43 in.lb.)
6. Connect the kickdown switch connector.
7. Install the floor carpet.
8. Connect the negative battery cable.
