Front Steering Knuckle: Service and Repair
Removal

Leave nuts on ball joint studs until removing the axle
assembly. This will keep the axle weight distributed evenly and prevent damage to the link bushings.

1. Knock crimped portion of locknut outward using suitable small chisel and hammer, then lock hub by applying brakes and remove locknut, Fig. 1.
