Apply a continuous 3-5 mm {0.12-0.19 in} bead of sealant along the contact surface and around the bolt holes as shown.
Caution

Applying more sealant than recommended, may cause sealant to spill over into the oil pan.
7.
Align and place the pan gasket in position.
8.
Apply sealant to the oil pan gasket in the same way as Step 6.
9.
Install oil pan and tighten new bolts gradually and evenly.
Tightening torque
6.9 - 8.8 Nm (70-90 kgf-cm, 61-78 in-lb.)
10.
Verify repair.
