Thermostat: Service and Repair
Replacement

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Drain the engine coolant.
3. Remove the components in the order indicated in the table.
4. Install the components in the reverse order of removal indicated in the table noting the following:

Install the thermostat (5).

5. Connect the negative battery cable.
6. Fill the radiator with the specified amount and type of engine coolant, Refer to Maintenance.
7. Check for leaks.
