Thermal Limiting Fuse: Service and Repair
WARNING: Kerosene is hazardous. It can easily ignite, causing serious injury and damage. Always keep sparks and flames away from
kerosene.
1. Remove the A/C compressor.
2. Remove the magnetic clutch.
3. Before removing the thermal protector, clean the A/C compressor with kerosene to remove foreign objects and dust. Allow it to dry completely.
CAUTION: If moisture or foreign material enters the refrigeration cycle, cooling ability will be lowered and abnormal noise will occur. Always
immediately plug all open fittings after removing any refrigeration cycle parts to keep moisture or foreign material out of the cycle.
4. Remove in the order indicated in the table.
5. Clean the sealing surfaces of the head cover and A/C compressor body using an oil stone after removal.
6. Remove any oil from the bolt holes.
7. Install in the reverse order of removal.
