Fuel Tank One Way Valve: Testing and Inspection
Fuel Shut-Off Valve Inspection
NOTE: The fuel shut-off valve is built in the fuel tank.
If there is malfunction, replace the fuel tank.
1. Remove the fuel tank.
2. Attach an air hose to the SST.
3. Plug the outlets on the fuel tank as shown in the figure.
4. Set the SST to the fuel-filler port as shown in the figure.
5. Verify that there is airflow from the port of the fuel shut-off valve when pressure of +0.99 kPa {+7.4 mmHg, +0.29 inHg} is applied.

If there is no airflow, replace the fuel tank.
6. Turn the fuel tank upside-down.
7. Verify that there is no airflow from the port of the fuel shut-off valve when pressure of +0.99 kPa {+7.4 mmHg, +0.29 inHg} is applied.

If there is airflow, replace the fuel tank.
