Air Bypass Valve Actuator: Testing and Inspection
Charge Air Cooler (CAC) Bypass Actuator Inspection
CHARGE AIR COOLER (CAC) BYPASS ACTUATOR INSPECTION [KJ]
1. Disconnect the vacuum hose from the CAC bypass actuator.
2. Install the vacuum pump to the CAC bypass actuator. Apply vacuum of approx. 25.4 kPa (190 mmHg, 7.48 inHg) and verify that the actuator rod
operates.

If not as specified, replace the CAC bypass actuator.
