2. Connect a vacuum pump tester to the actuator (free side) as shown.

3. Apply 26.66 kPa (7.87 inches Hg) vacuum, and verify that the rod moves inward.
4. Connect the vacuum pump to the actuator (lock side) as shown.

5. Apply 26.66 kPa (7.87 inches Hg) vacuum, and verify that the rod moves outward.
6. If not as specified, replace the actuator.

Vacuum Reservoir

1. Disconnect the vacuum hoses.
2. Plug one hose fitting of the reservoir.
3. Connect a vacuum pump tester to the other fitting.
4. Apply 93.33 kPa (27.56 inches Hg) vacuum, and verify that the vacuum  is held.
5. If not as specified, replace the vacuum reservoir.
