Axle Shaft: Testing and Inspection

REAR AXLE SHAFT INSPECTION 

1. Measure the shaft runout by using a dial indicator.

2. If runout exceeds the specification, replace the axle shaft.

Maximum runout 1.5 mm (0.059 inch)
