Drive/Propeller Shaft: Service and Repair
Disassembly
Disassemble driveshaft in numbered sequence shown in Fig. 22, noting the following:

1. Pry locking clip of boot band with suitable tool, then remove band with pliers.
2. Remove stopper ring, mark outer snap ring and shaft for proper reassembly, then remove snap ring.
3. On models with automatic transaxle, Mark tripod joint and free rings for proper reassembly. Do not drop free rings when removing tripod
