Disassembly Note
Bearing (side opposite ring gear)

NOTE:  The bearing does not need to be removed unless you are replacing it.

Remove the bearing by using the SSTs.

Bearing (ring gear side)

Remove the bearing by using the SST.

Inspection

Inspect all parts and repair or replace as necessary.

Ring gear and gear case assembly

Inspect the ring gear for wear and cracks. If gear case is replaced, adjust the bearing preload.
