NOTE:
The asterisk (*) in the VIN range can be any number (0 through 9) or "X".
DESCRIPTION
The ends of the roof molding on some of the above vehicles may be detaching from the roof surface. This is caused by the projection of the root groove
and inadequate pressure on the molding at the time of installation. To correct this condition, the molding was redesigned using a different groove on the
bottom side and stronger material.
Follow the procedures in this bulletin to repair vehicles with this problem.
REPAIR PROCEDURE
1.
Verify complaint on all molding ends.
2.
Lift the loose end of the molding 50-70 mm and bend it slightly downward.
3.
Clean the bottom surface of the molding and tape with alcohol to remove residue adhesive and dirt.
