Wheel Speed Sensor: Testing and Inspection
Voltage Inspection
The ABS control unit will memorize a failure when wheel is turned; therefore, it will be necessary to erase diagnostic trouble codes after completing test.
1. Raise and support vehicle, then disconnect wheel speed sensor connector.
2. Rotate wheel one revolution per second by hand and check for voltage at wheel speed sensor terminal. Voltage should be 0.25 - 1.20 volts.
3. If not within specifications replace wheel speed sensor or rotor.
