Wheel Speed Sensor: Testing and Inspection
Clearance Inspection

1. Raise and support vehicle, then remove wheel and tires.
2. Check for damaged or loose wheel speed sensor.
3. Check clearance between wheel speed sensor and sensor rotor. Clearance should be 0.012 - 0.043 inches.
4. If not within specifications, replace sensor rotor or wheel speed sensor.
5. Check resistance at wheel speed sensor; resistance should be 1.6 - 2.0 Kohms.
6. If not within specifications, replace speed sensor.
