APPLICABLE MODELS/VINS
MX-5 Miata vehicles with a VIN of JM1NA35**V0719633 and lower.
DESCRIPTION
Washer fluid residue in the washer line may escape from the nozzle and run down the hood. This concern is most noticeable in warm temperatures when
the engine compartment is warm also. The leakage is caused by thermal expansion of air trapped in the washer line. To prevent this concern, a one-way
check valve has been added to the washer line.
Customers complaining of this concern should have the vehicle inspected and if necessary, repaired according to this bulletin.
REPAIR PROCEDURE
1.
Determine which hose configuration is installed on the vehicle. Refer to Fig. 2.
