Fig. 2 Shock Absorber & Spring Assembly

Disassemble shock absorber in numerical sequence shown, Fig. 2, noting the following:
a. Loosen piston rod upper nut several turns. Do not remove nut. 
b. Insert copper or aluminum plates between shock absorber and jaws of vise.
c. Using a suitable spring compressor, compress spring and remove upper nut.
d. Upon installation, tighten piston rod upper nut to specifications.
