Fuel Tank: Service and Repair
REMOVAL
Fuel Tank R&R
NOTE: Drain fuel from tank before removal.
WARNING:
^ Release fuel pressure.
^ Keep sparks, cigarettes, and open flames away.
^ Before repairing tank, clean thoroughly with steam to remove any explosive gas.
Remove tank assembly in this order:
1.
Pre-silencer.
2.
Insulator.
3.
Connector.
4.
Fuel hoses.
5.
Evaporative hoses.
6.
Fuel tank straps.
7.
Fuel tank.
