Front
REMOVAL
1. Jack up the front of the vehicle and support it on safety stands.
2. Remove the wheels.
3. Remove in the order as shown in the illustration.
4. Inspect all parts and replace as necessary.
INSPECTION
Check the following and replace if necessary.
1. Inspect for bending and damage.
2. Measure the ball joint starting torque as follows.
a. Rock the ball joint stud side to side 10 times.
b. Rotate the ball joint stud 10 times.
c. Measure the starting torque by using a suitable Allen socket and a torque wrench. Starting torque should be 0.2 - 1.5 Nm (1.7 - 13 inch
lbs.).
INSTALLATION
1. Install in the reverse order of removal.
