Wastegate: Testing and Inspection
Wastegate Control Actuator

1.

Start engine and run until normal operating temperature is reached, then stop engine.

2.

Ensure switching actuator rod moves when engine starts. On models equipped with anti-lock brake system, move air hose toward engine to view
the rod.

3.

Disconnect turbocharger solenoid valve electrical connector and ensure actuator rod returns.

4.

Reconnect solenoid valve electrical connector and ensure actuator rod begins to move at approximately 2700 RPM.
