Thermostat: Service and Repair
THERMOSTAT AND THERMOSTAT HOUSING - 2.3L
Removal and Installation
1. Drain the engine coolant.
2. Remove the accessory drive belt tensioner.
3. Remove the thermostat and thermostat housing assembly.

Loosen the clamps, disconnect the hoses and position aside.

Remove the bolts, thermostat housing and the thermostat housing gasket.
Note:

Clean and inspect the thermostat gasket and all sealing surfaces.
4. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
