Oil Pick Up/Strainer: Service and Repair
OIL PUMP SCREEN AND PICKUP TUBE
Removal and Installation
1. Remove the oil pan.
2. Remove the oil pump screen cover and tube.
1. Remove and discard the gasket,
Caution:

The oil pump screen cover and tube sealing surfaces are soft metals. Do not use abrasive grinding discs to remove gasket material; only use
manual scrapers. Do not scratch or gouge sealing surfaces.
3. Carefully clean both sealing surfaces.
4. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Install a new gasket.
