Rear Door Latch: Service and Repair
REAR DOOR LATCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
NOTE:The door glass must be completely raised.
1. Remove the rear door trim panel. See See: Rear Door Panel/Service and Repair.
2. Position the watershield aside.
3. Remove the exterior rear door handle reinforcement. See - See: Rear Door Handle/Rear Door Exterior Handle/Service and Repair/Door Handle
Reinforcement - Exterior, Rear Removal/Installation.
4. Remove and discard the 3 rear door latch bolts.

To install, tighten to 12 Nm {1.2 kgf-m, 106 in-lbf}.
5. Disconnect the rear door latch electrical connector.
6. Remove the rear door latch.

Slide the rear door latch towards the front of the vehicle.

Remove the rear door latch with the door lock actuating rod and the interior door handle actuating cable.
7. If necessary, remove the door lock actuating rod and the interior door handle actuating cable.
8. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
