Brake Caliper: Service and Repair
Brake Caliper Anchor Plate Removal/Installation

BRAKE CALIPER ANCHOR PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION - HYBRID
1. Disconnect the battery. See See: Starting and Charging/Battery/Service and Repair/Procedures/Battery Disconnect.
NOTE: These steps must be followed to prevent the accumulator from charging and pressurizing the brake system.
2. Remove the battery junction box (BJB) fuses 9 (50A) and 18 (50A).
3. Remove the wheel and tire assembly. See See: Maintenance/Wheels and Tires/Wheels/Service and Repair.
4. Remove the 2 brake caliper guide pin bolts and position the caliper aside.

Support the caliper using mechanic's wire.
CAUTION: Do not allow the caliper to hang from the brake hose or damage to the hose can occur.
5. Remove the 2 brake caliper anchor plate bolts.

To install, tighten to 175 Nm {17.8 kgf-m, 129 ft-lbf}.
6. Remove the brake caliper anchor plate.
7. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
